Crossroads Closing the Gap Campaign Module

This campaign module presents a World War 2 Mini-Campaign detailing the actions of the 4th Canadian Armoured Brigade at the Battle of Saint-Lambert-sur-Dives, and their efforts in closing the ‘Falaise Gap’.

Crossroads focuses on the Canadian forces and actions of Major Currie, the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and the 29th Armoured Reconnaissance (South Alberta Regiment) as they captured and held the village of St. Lambert-sur-Dives between August  18 and August 21, 1944.

The campaign involves the initial battle to capture St. Lambert-sur-Dives from the entrenched German forces (desperate to hold their escape route open), and then the Canadian’s defense of the town, trying to stop as many of the Germans forces from escaping, as possible.

The module itself is 49 pages and contains background material, force lists and the campaign/ missions along with various other bits and pieces.

This campaign is primarily designed to be played using Chain of Command from TooFatLardies, but can be used with other systems.

I would like to thank everyone who helped on the project, in particular Ky, Luke, John, Serge, and Troy.

This campaign module is available for download from the Crossroads Campaign Page.

EDIT: A couple of mistakes crept through the editing process, an errata is now in place on the campaign page!

Feel free to use this post or the campaign page to make any comments, offer suggestions or ask questions. My intent is to keep the module updated as any changes may occur.

Good luck with the campaign, I hope you have some fun and entertaining games with it.
